Ok, roghtly or wrongly we got DS (nearly 10) his first mobile, a basic samsung on vodafone. The cheapest topup was £20. It was bought on Thursday, used from Friday morning, we've been at a festival all weekend where he mainly used it to text me or his gran. He now has £2.34 left! Looking at his call logs, there is no way he's used this much. Any advice what we can do to see where this money could have gone? I've set up an online account o the vodafone website, but it still tells me nothing. Could games have done this and if so, what can I do to stopany further on going charges, if thats what it is? I know nothing about payasyou go :-( I;d be grateful for any help here.

Vodafone do freedom freebie packages where you pay a minimum of £10 a month and that offers far better value for money than the standard top up.

He's not download ringtones. Internet access is a possibility, or an attempt to do so, hence the reference I was making to games. Any idea how I can check, or if I can?

Thanks Incapinka. I think I had to buy the £20 to get started. I also think, though, that this was also a freedom freebie.

Freedom freebie package should last a month and won't breakdown into money. Rather it says how many minutes etc you have left and texts. Is it vidafone?

It is Vodafone, and I went online and "traded" his topup points or whatever for an in icecream, which is all part of the freedom freebies, isn't it? God I'm clueless!

I don't know Grin I just use them for my mother and they last her the entire month and that's £10. But she's not a teenager! Wink
