My (mini) iPad has just overheated and given me a warning on the screen that it needed to "cool down" before I could use it again. It's working again now.
Never seen this before, and I've used it in hot countries before!
I'm in the UK, was sat in my back garden having lunch, admittedly in the full sun (I am wearing sunscreen and a hat). Not at all something I tend to do.
Do iPhones do this too? I have heard of server rooms needing air con and having problems if they overheat, but never this.
I wonder, could this be a way to stop people over sunning themselves - get the devices to shut themselves off after x amount of time in the sun?
Clever old iPad!
