What has happened to my iPhone screen?

It's suddenly gone very weird. It looks a bit like a photo negative. The colours are all wrong and I can't use things like Facebook at all really as the photos are unrecognisable. On MN the background is now black and the bits that were purple are now green.

It's horrible! I haven't dropped it or anything else. It just happened while I was using it. It's a couple of years old now but I wasn't planning to upgrade as its finally stopped costing me ££ every month and (up til yesterday) still works perfectly. Please can someone give me hope that it's fixable? I've tried turning it off and re-charging it but to no avail

Go into Settings, General, Accessibility, and see if "white on black" is ON, if it is switch it off and restart your phone.

Thank you sooo much! I went into Accessibility and found that White on Black was mysteriously on so switched it off and back to normal

Slightly worried about why it would just switch on like that but v happy to have my phone back - thank you.

Well that's a relief! Thought it was something I might have to worry about.

But I do have the yellow spot....

Have another look at the Accessibility settings - scroll down to the bottom and see if Triple click Home is set to 'Invert Colours' If it is, that's probably why it happened.
