Facebook "custom" updates

I'm sure that I used to see friends' updates which were set to "custom", and that was all you could see. I've been setting stuff to custom as well (eg to avoid spamming friends who are not parents with loads of baby stuff), and if I hover over the little custom icon, their names come up for me. I didn't think those friends could see who all my updates were shared with, though. However, I've just checked it by looking at DP's account and he can see the exact names of the people I've shared something with (as long as he's one of them, obviously). I don't want this! I don't mind if they see "Custom", but not who they all are! Any way round it?

"I didn't think those friends could see who all my updates were shared with, though."

Reading this bit back I don't think I've made myself entirely clear ... should be more like "I didn't think those friends could see the names of all the other people, as well as them, who my custom update was shared with."

Hopefully someone will know exactly what I mean!

I know what you mean but I wasn't aware that it was possible for them to see the list of the group you sent it to. Certainly can't see who else is in a group when I get custom updates from my FB friends.

I know there is more function on the PC perhaps it's on there. Hopefully someone will post an answer as I'm curious now!

I think I know what you mean.

What I do is organise my friends into categories. So for example 'work', 'personal', 'customers', 'hobby' etc etc.

Then my default is 'Friends except acquaintances & customers'.

That's all you can see then. They can't see the individual members of your lists.

Hope that makes sense.
