Really obvious iTunes question.

If I have iTunes on my laptop and I use that to back up my iPhone, what happens when that laptop is broken/stolen. Can I just download iTunes again and log in with my Apple id and have all my backed up stuff there?

My phone is set to back up to iCloud each time it's plugged in. Do I even need to plug my phone in to the lap top to back up now that iCloud has come along?

Yeah the cloud stores everything so when u get a new iPhone ect u put in the apple id and u can download all the stuff from the cloud

Cool, so really the cloud does away with the need for a pc or laptop for backing up?
