pc optimizer pro

I have just got a new netbook - acer aspire one
All ok but pc optimizer pro keeps popping up and saying i need a clean up but have to pay
what is it and do i need it?
Also - internet explorer was incredibly slow so i downloaded google chrome which is v speedy - Why?

This is malware and needs to be deleted,full instructions.

Have you installed something and this has sneaked in as well,a quick google shows people downloading a video player program and this has been included in the bundle.

I think it must have tagged onto open office
I uninstalled it before i got your reply - will it still be kicking about?

I would download adw cleaner,search,delete and then restart,it will remove malware,it may look a bit scary but it wont delate anything but nasties.I use it on a weekly basis
