No wifi for dell optiplex 380?

Just been given a dell desktop optiplex 380. My router is on but it doesn't detect it. Just keeps telling me a cable is missing and giving me broadband as an option.
Computer came with no instructions. Is it possible that ithas no wifi capability or am i doing something wrong or do i need a wireless adapter and if so, what is that???

No, that model (unless it has a different config in the uk?) didn't come with wifi as standard.
