iPhone and BT Wi-Fi drama!!!

Well, not really a drama but trying to get some traffic. For few days I'm without my broadband and I have managed to get BT Wi-fi going on my laptop (what a godsend!).

No can do it for the iPhone though and I mow remember I might have some time ago chosen an option in the Network settings that instructed my phone to ignore BT Wi-fi.

I didn't know what it was back then, it just kept on appearing and annoying me. Can I somehow rectify it?

Then it asks for network name

Might that work?

I had tried that and no joy. It says it cannot find the network.

Come on, people! It's supposed to be a geeky section.

Geeks use Android not iPhone!

Presume you have done the basics of making such that Ask To Join is turned on. That the network is in range.

You may need to reset things, so will affect all Known networks.

Try Settings> General> Reset> Reset Network Settings.

Can't locate a way to list all the networks the device knows about, so maybe that feature is not available and thus you can't reenable a network you have told it to ignore.

I tried that too. No joy. It can't be that complicated. At this rate I will need to call Apple or worse go there...

Have you down loaded the bt wifi app onto your phone?

Yes, I have. And I'm in the area covered. I deeply suspect it has something to do with the network rejection. But now I reset the settings so no idea why it's not picking it up.

Laptop found it no problem.
