Really odd messaging problem - between me and dd, both on iphone4 phones.

We both have the iphone, and can message and call everyone on our contacts, but she can't message me! We call each other, and everyone else, BUT when she tries to text message me it results in a 'not delivered' message. I message her no problem - she receives them but can't respond.

Before I speak to providers and the world and his/her dog about this, is there a simple solution that is so simple it's hiding in plain view?

As I say, it seems really odd!

Are you signed in to the same Apple ID/ I Tunes account?

No, it's quite separate.

Have you tried turning off iMessage? Sometimes it plays up.

Under messages, check that 'iMessage' is on.
Turn it off and back on to be sure.
Also check what address it is using to send messages. Should be your mobile number as first option I think.

Err..what does that mean? and how would I do it?

It's under 'settings' then 'messages'

Have gone to settings, switched imessage off, then on.

Have texted her to see what happens. She has been having to reply from her aol email account. Which costs. Apparently.
