Computer speakers which double as bedroom speakers.

I'm a big music lover. I want some excellent speakers which will sound good when I'm at my desk but also in the rest of the room (my bedroom).

I'm impressed by DSs Cambridge Audio speakers from Richer Sounds but they loose a lot when you get 2 meters or so away from them.

My Dad has these quite small bookshelf speakers paired with a very good amp and on stands. They sound great with classical and jazz - much bigger sound than they look. You can get older versions of the same speaker quite cheaply and also get a second hand amp cheap too (Meridian amps are amazing, used to be £3000+, £200 on eBay now).
