Poured coffee over my laptop :-(

I accidentally (well obviously) split coffee on my laptop earlier :-( and now it won't turn on. I've got it in the airing cupboard to dry. Tell me, is it dead? Or is there any hope

Put it in a bag,pour in a bag of rice(remove the battery first),tie the top of the bag and leave for at least 48 hours.This worked when dd tipped a glass of lemonade over ours,the rice absorbs the moisture,do not use a hairdryer as the heat can melt internal components.
