Can anyone advise me re. posting on Wordpress please? bit desperate!

I'm a copywriter...I've just been asked to create 100 blog posts by a new client.

He originally called them "articles" and so I accepted the job...now it transpires I have to upload them directly to his Wordpress thingy.

As you can tell I'm not at all familiar with blogs...but I can easily create the content.

I don't want to ask too many questions or I'll look like a dillitante! I AM one but that's my business.

The Dashboard which he's linked me to (I have a password and user name) just says "You are using Wordpress 3.5" and a few updates about recent activity...and there's a space on the right which says "Quick press" and beneath that "Enter Title Here" and beneath that is another space which says "Add media"

He wants pictures too....do I put the text AND the pics in the box which says "Add media"? Or is there another option to upload images?

I use Wordpress for my blog, and I generally start by choosing to input text first. I type in the content, and then put in any pictures I want- there is a box titled 'insert photo' to the right of the title input box.

When you upload a photo, it appears wherever the cursor is in the text, and you can move it if you need/want to. Left clicking on the picture highlights it and brings up two icons - one to delete the picture, and the other one taking you to a menu where you can edit the picture.

I can't talk about inserting other media, as I haven't tried doing this.

i use wordpress for my blog and it is really simple.

Writing your Article/blog:
on the dashboard you have on your screen there should be a sidebar down the left side.

On that you'll see POSTS. click on that and click on new post. That will bring you up with a new page where you input your 'article' or blog post.

Your headline should be in the bar at the top and the body of your article in the big box underneath.

To insert images:
Between the box for your headline and the main box you will see a small box that might say media or it might just be a picture of a camera depending on the version of wordpress you're using.

make sure your mouse is where you want your picture to be in the article. Then click on the word or the camera and that'll take you to another screen. Click on upload picture or photograph and browse your computer for the image you want to upload. Double click on the image and it'll be inserted where your mouse is sitting within your blog.

Publishing:
To send your written article/blog to the internet click on publish in the top section of the right hand sidebar. You can also preview it there to see what it looks like.

Spend some time playing with it, as long as you don't click publish nobody can see what you're doing and the more you play with wordpress the easier it gets to use it.
