Should I get a chrome book or a netbook?

Just that really.

I have about £300ish to spend on getting one & I'm not sure what I want.

I like the look of the chromebooks, but I'm not sure about storage - apparently it's only free for two years. I already use dropbox for most things - I haven't used google docs, but I'm fairly sure I'll pick it up.

But, I prefer the idea of software I own - just not relying on the web. Probably just old fashioned Smile and there's never any compatability problems with microsoft - it's everywhere.

Has anyone any suggestions?

What's wrong with a normal laptop then? I wouldn't bother with netbooks, they are under powered and their market has been taken by tablets. I have one, it's quite slow and annoying.

Pedro is correct, netbooks are sooo slow. Got one, the only good thing is, nope there isn't anything good about them.

Thanks both - I wasn't sure if I could get a decent one for my budget.

I'll have a nose around & see what I can get
