Help - my email has frozen on my iPad

I've just tried to read a PDF attachment and it started to open but the screen just stays blank and grey. Can I reset my email somehow?

You could come out of it and shut down email by double clicking the home button and then clicking the x on email. Or you could shut down the iPad by pressing the home button and the one at the top at the right together

You can try the usual 'turning it off and turning it back on again' approach?

Or reboot the whole ipad by pressing the home button at the same time is the button on the top?
