My copy should hopefully be delivered today or tomorrow! Is anyone else getting the game or does anyone have a copy already?

I'm a bit nervous about all the reports of server issues not allowing connections even for single player games, or losing progress due to server side crashes! Bit annoying that it requires a constant online connection even when not playing multiplayer.

I'll probably practice a bit with a single player game first, but if there are any other MN players out there then perhaps we could establish a MN region full of family friendly policies?

Good luck. Let us know how you get on. I was considering getting the game but from the media reports and the absolute slating they're getting on Amazon reviews, I think I will give it a miss for a while until they sort out the problems.

Still not got my copy, so much for pre-order. It despatched last Thursday! On the plus side, by the time it finally arrives the server issues should be fixed...

It arrived! ... But I couldn't connect to the server last night in order to play. Boo!

Not sure if anyone cares or is reading this, but just to complete the thread...

I've played the game for a bit and it's not bad, the gameplay is good and the graphics are pretty. However the map size is incredibly limiting! I wanted to create a sprawling metropolis, but ended up with a fraction of that.

Every new thing I wanted to add to my city, I had to destroy something else, which got a bit frustrating. I also wanted suburbs. I like suburbs - I live in one!

I didn't bother playing in an open region in the end, I just made my own private one.

The game's gone back on the shelf for now, I'll go back to it at some point if they release an update to increase the city map size!

So Spirael - what's your opinion after a couple of months? Or has it just stayed on the shelf? The reviews on Amazon are terrible so I'm not sure whether to bother or not. Plus I am waiting for the Mac version.
