I bought my son spotify premium, a one month trial. What happens if he doesn't carry on the subscription? Does he lose all his playlists?
We have to do something, itunes is costing a fortune! he mainly listens on his iPhone.

According to a user on Community.Spotify.Com Offline playlists are lost when changing from Premium to Free.

Only premium customers can use it on mobile devices, so if he mainly uses it on his phone he'd need to keep the subscription anyway.
