Computer is very very slow.

Computer is starting up but when I click on say accessories it takes about 4 minutes to open and every command after that is taking the same length of time. I have tried for hours to do a system restore but can't get very far. Any ideas for clearing it out. I can't buy a new one because I just bought an iMac last week. I think it is xp.

Go to FileHippo.com and download CCleaner, allow it to scan your pc and it should, when it has finished, free up disk space which should speed up your pc.

No I eventually did a system restore to get it back a few weeks. It's still a bit slow actually but better than it was.
