Which apps for my ipad?

I was given an ipad for Xmas and am not very savvy with it.

Can anyone recommend any apps for documents and spreadsheets etc? I have had a look but the choice is overwhelming and I don't know where to begin.

I like evernote for organising things.
Dropbox can be useful

If you have a gmail account google drive is good - in fact I'd probably set one up if I were you.

Evernote has lots of extras like penultimate and skitch - useful for annotating documents.

No problem - if you are looking for a 'to do' list (which syncs with phones/laptops) Wunderlist or Astrid are useful
Other Apps I like are Note Taker HD, Keynote, if you make presentations (like PowerPoint) Dragon Dictation - voice to text
