I am trying to organise the thousands of photos I have on my computer in all different places. Please can anyone suggest a good photo storage system to do this. Better still is there some kind of programme that can identify duplicate photos? Many thanks.

A quick Google came up with DupeGuru (Windows and MAC versions).

I've not used it but it seems as though it will aim to identify duplicate photos even if they have different file types.

That's just what I need too! I hope it works

You can test it out and then tell us all if it does indeed work.

Not sure about photo storage. I currently use a combination of Google Picasa (online photo storage) and DropBox (online general storage, so photos and documents, music, anything really).

I shall. Just as soon as I fix my pesky laptop

I store my threetymillion photos on a big old external hard drive

No idea if this is a good idea
