Ok. My first contract phone comes to an end soon. I have to cancel 30 days before end of contract which is mid march although last payment date is in Feb. Do I phone 30 days before last payment date or 30 days before end of contract?

I am swapping to giffgaff.

I'd call them up now and tell them you are swapping so they can cancel your contract. You have to give a minimum of 30 days....you can give more notice if you prefer.
