I have buggered up my laptop

I have, it seems, deleted something(s) from my laptop in an effort to clean it up, and now it doesn't work properly. I need to do a system restore to an earlier date but there isn't a date set to restore to. I then thought I'd restore to factory settings but I honestly don't have a clue. Can anyone advise??

Can you be a bit more specific about what isn't working properly. What is your laptop doing that it should not be? Which version of Windows are you using? XP, Vista or Windows 7 or 8?

Hello ! It's Vista on an Acer 6935 laptop

DH's iphone doesn't seem to work with it any more - he says, it doesn't recognise it

When it starts up it says there are things not operating properly

I bought a new printer and have followed the instructions and it doesn't recognise it

I think it might be drivers (someone else suggested a "driver" problem

Can you post the error messages?
Do you know how to get to Device Manager,if not,its Control Panel,then device manager,look for anything with a yellow mark next to it and post back if there is,I.m sure you havent done anything that cant be fixed.
As for your dh,s Iphone,have you managed to delete itunes?
