Crack in tablet screen

Is there some way to repair this? Any idea of the cost? My dd has dropped her (newish) tablet and there is a crack in the screen. She is heartbroken. It still works, but I wonder for how much longer.

Someone at work smashed their iPad and found a company on the internet that repaired it for about £70 incl return postage.

DD had her friends here for a sleepover last night. They were all sitting, chatting and each playing on her own tablet. It all seemed so teenagerish .
