iPod battery totally dead.

Can I get it replaced? It's a 6th Gen 80g I think had for a few years. It's totally dead, won't play even when plugged into the mains.

Handily, Apple don't let you replace batteries in their stuff so that's gonna have to be replaced with a new iPod.

You can get it replaced. As Apple products go, it's not the most difficult repair. You can get all the parts yourself from eBay cheaply. But you may find it less scary to take it to a local phone repair shop who will charge you a bit but take the risk out of it.

We've changed the battery and the screen ourselves. You need a kit from ebay, steady hands and a youtube tutorial. Its not very hard, just fiddly.
