How to play iPhone in car?

Looking to get a friend a gadget so they can play their iPhone/ipod through car radio ( I'm sure this is an actually thing and not something I've made up!!) can anyone recommend a good one? I would like to spend up to around £30.
Thank you in advance clever people! Grin

Do you mean a Bluetooth to 3.5mm Jack connector, so plugging into Cars AUX input (not all have them), or a FM Modulator/Transmitter which changes the signal into a radio signal which can be tuned into?

In the past I've used FM Modulators and FM Transmitters and they are not terribly good (modulator was better than transmitter, I'm not entirely sure on the difference). Haven't used one several years so they may have improved.
Maplin sell FM Transmitters but don't seem to stock Modulators anymore.

Least if I know what they're called now I can have a google search - so thank you!

I have one a Tunecast one I got from Maplin for about 30 quid. Seems to work pretty well. Depends on where you live though as it works better in areas where there are fewer radio stations vying for bandwidth.
