can't log out!

Although I actually do log out of each session, when I reopen my Facebook quite often my u/name and p/ward are just sitting there, ready to be clicked in.

I have tried:

• logging out and shutting the tab
• logging out and shutting Firefox
• logging out and deleting my u/name and shutting Firefox

The last one is the only one that works but it is a bit of a palaver each time.

Is there any simple way to resolve it?

I've actually deleted my Facebook account, ages ago, and done all the things you have done, but if I go on a Facebook page, my email address and password are still waiting there. (I think Facebook is like a sheep tic -- the only way to make it let go is to burn it with a cigarette end or douse it in alcohol.)

Have you tried deleting all cookies on your browser, though? That might clear it.

I did try that but all that happened was I lost the useful ones and still got stuck in F/B after I logged back in!

Dousing in alcohol is a waste of good alcohol!

You probably have saved the username/password in Firefox. Try this:

Click on the Firefox menu bar, choose Options

Click on Security then you will probably see a tick in "Remember passwords for sites". If so, click "saved passwords", find Facebook and click remove. then close.

You may want to click on the Exceptions button and add Facebook in there so it doesn't prompt you in future to save the password.
