Quick question regarding Sky HD box and non HD tv

I have an old tv that is clearly not HD ready or any of that malarkey. My Sky plus box is on its last legs and I want to get a Sky HD box. Will this work on my tv? I have no intention of subscribing to any of the HD channels (at any point). Should I just get another Sky plus box? Thanks.

it will work, in that you get the channels you subscribe to, you just won't notice any improvement in quality, as you won't be subscribing to the HD channels.

I'm not sure you can get the non-HD boxes from Sky anymore, or at least they don't seem to advertise them.
