I go to control panel, but then I can't work out what to do next,

Any ideas?

Sorry for being thick.

Go to start, accessories, then defragment. I asked DP.

SecretCervix · 18/11/2012 17:47

Don't do it if you've got less than 80gb taken up though he says.

It's under control panel, then performance and maintenance (from memory of doing it the other day, can't check as DS is hogging laptop again)

SecretCervix · 18/11/2012 17:49

DP is a computer nerd and really does know what he is talking about. It is most definitely in accessories.

hellsbells76 · 18/11/2012 17:55

Sorry, thought you said xp not vista (no idea why I thought that)

Leafmould · 18/11/2012 21:58

Thanks all! Hells bells, your reading skills are amazing! Just noticed it is xp not vista at all! No idea why I thought it was vista!. Dp is on Skype just now, so might try it at bedtime.

Doesn't Vista do it automatically?

hellsbells76 · 18/11/2012 22:05

Ha! Well in that case it's definitely under control panel Grin

Leafmould · 02/12/2012 17:47

Hmm, can't find any performance or maintenance under control panel. Is there an interim category I should be looking for? I have had a look at the more obvious ones.
