Which tablet?

Sorry I know it's probably been done to death but if anyone can help I'd be grateful.

We're looking at a tablet for the following uses:

-Facebook/twitter/mumsnet etc apps
-YouTube
-FaceTime (is this unique to Apple or is it an app that can be used via other tablets?)
-Skype
-Games

Not too bothered about watching films or music (have bluray player & iPod)

Doesn't need 3G capability, would just use in the home.

Dh & I have iPhones so we're familiar with their setup and have looked at the Ipad but it's so expensive. Will an android tablet be disappointing after having used an iPhone for so long?

Have heard good things about the Samsung Galaxy tab and my mum has just got a Kindle Fire but I'm just not sure if they'd be as good as we'd want, having been so used to apple products.

Any thoughts?

I paid £580 for my ipad and I have to say that it was worth every penny.

If you don't want 3G it's a lot cheaper. Just buy one.

Far from being a disappointment I think you'll find Android to be a breath of fresh air compared to the iPhone.

Facetime is Apple only.But just use Skype instead.

Personally I'd go for the Nexus 10 or the Galaxy Note 10.1. Both are cheaper and better than the iPad.
