Why is facebook on my son's blackberry not working?

I have the wi-fi set up and working so can surf the internet but am getting the message "could not connect because a data service is not available"

Can anyone throw any light on this.

He does have safeguarding on via orange.

DH is just trying to get mine to connect to wifi for me so might get back to you with a solution.

Well I dont know about you but I can go on the internet on it but it STILL wont let me connect to facebook.

It sounds like you'll need to get in contact with your network operator about this problem unfortunately. Calling up the call centre can be painful as often you'll get shunted around an automated system before popping up in India. A better alternative may be to contact them via Twitter - all the networks now operate Twitter support - which all seems to be UK based.
