trying to set up iPhone5 - arrgghh

What am I doing wrong? Managed to put all contacts and info from iPhone4 onto iCloud and transfer it over. But I have no service on the iPhone5 with my new microSIM. The old phone works with the old sim. How do I get the new phone to start being a phone I can make calls from?!

Have tried removing the Sim from the iPhone4 but still not working.

Just had a baby so maybe my brain isnt working properly??

Do you not need to register the new sim with your network provider? I had to do that when I got mine last week. Took about an hour for them to switch the old sim off and the new one on.
