Fixed iPad screen

Help please!
My iPad screen is stuck in portrait and won't rotate.
I've been into setting but can't see what to do.
It's really annoying me!

Do you use the little button on the side to lock the screen or mute the volume?

I've done it, thanks thereinmadnesslies, in looking at that button, I found another tiny one I didn't know existed and flicked that.

Does the little switch have an orange dot? If so, you can select whether it mutes the volume or locks the screen from rotating. To change the settings go to settings then general and it's about 2/3 down the page.
