DD2 wants a nintendo ds, which console to buy?

she is 7 next week
lots of ds lite on ebay for £50 or so
HMV only seems to sell the 3d one
then there is the dsi
and didn't there used to be a ds xl with a larger screen?
do they all play the same games? (we have a fair few from dd1 who has an old one)
any reason not to buy the ds lite?

I loved it back in the day in the PS. but unfortunately on the DS it's too much button smashing to actually get somewhere. And repetitive.

I've not heard of that one, I shall investigate.

DD2 has an ipod touch, we got it this time last year when travelling.
she does enjoy it and a year ago i would have said the same thing, for 69p they have a lot of play value vs games.
however a year on and they are back playing with my (at least 15 years old DS) and now she wants one of her own.

Never liked em the second one had one of the best intros on ps2 tho.

Tales of are my fave rpgs, tales of symphonia, vesperia, the new world, graces, abyss. They are only made in small numbers tho so they are one of the few games that go I value after release rather then down. Dontknow why Namco all ways do that only thing they make in large numbers is tekken, soul caliber and ridge racer.

OK sexist, but my two aren't hardened gamers, they get board quickly and £30 is an awful lot to spend on a game they hate.
They don't even persevere with the Lego wii games.

Face time, books, music, Kim messenger etc, etc make iPods very versitle.

That said they have asked for an Xbox for Christmas and a very realistic driving game.

Bored

Don't pay 30 quid then buy online and buy older titles. Lego games are meh. Get em super smash bros or little kings story.
