How do I get music on my iPads?

I have some CDs
I have those CDs stored as MP3's in Windows media player
I have a PC laptop with iTunes on it
I have 2 iPad3's with different apple IDs.

What is the best and easiest way to get the music onto the iPads. Simple instructions please as I am new to the apple way of doing things.

I'm about to try with dropbox. Will let you know how that goes.

Although I have vuague memmories of my sister showing me how to put my CDs into itunes, in which they should go to my iPad too shpuldn't they ?

Maybe I should call my sister before I try this.

There was a thread the other day about something similar which I kind of hijacked but the answer wasn't thorough enough so I thought I would start my own thread.

I have the cable to link the PC and iPad (never tried it). I have access to iCloud on the PC which would surely be better than dropbox as it is more designed.]

I guess the bit I can't work out at the moment is how to get my files into itunes (unless I rip them again). I assume when I get them into itunes, in the right format it will be more straightforward.

OK I appear to have got as far as getting my mp3 files into iTunes.

What next? I have heard scary things about iPods deleting stuff when you try to put on 2 devices.

I want to keep them on my laptop and put on 2 iPads.
