Kindle v's Kobo.....any views?

I had decided that I was going to get myself a Kindle for Christmas.....until I walked into WH Smiths at the weekend and saw the Kobo.

Does anyone have a Kobo? Are they better than the Kindle? I only really want it to read books/magazines on and for taking on my annual holiday with me.

Would be grateful for some advise if possible. Thanks :)

I would just get the Kindle. They're so easy to use and to buy books on (or to put other ebooks onto - but with the choice in the Kindle store you won't ever have to worry about running out of books or the format becoming obsolete).

Kobo is what we have in North America. It depends where you want to buy the ebooks from - amazon.co.uk aligns themself with kindle. It's to do with the kind of files they support.
