Can anyone help me with iCloud?

I am absolutely rubbish with stuff like this, and usually get my DH to do it, but he's not here so I would love some help :)

My iPhone is full, can't take anymore pictures etc, and gave me a 'manage storage?' option which took me somewhere in settings that said my phone was full but my iCloud empty.

I also have an iPad so thought that through wifi or something all photos etc transferred to both devices?

Does that even make sense!

In settings there's an option to sync with icloud. Can't help beyond this!

There's also other online storage for pictures that can be accessed via apps if that's any good?

Dunno about iCloud but what about syncing photos with picasa web albums ? That's what I do. Then ou can delete them from the phone and still acess thrm on the web with other devices or your phone if you need to
