iPod touch (over 12 mths old) insurance cover ?

My son got an iPod touch for his birthday in July 2011 so it is now 14 months old. He has always kept it at home but now wants to take it to school so tonight I tried to insure it using protect your bubble.com but at the last point it stated gadgets over 12 months old can't be insured by them.

Are there any other insurance companies out there that mumsnetters would recommend that insure 12+ month old gadgets . Thanks

I'm not sure it's worth it to be honest.

A 2nd hand ipod touch 4th gen you can get for around £100ish. Given most will charge you at least a fiver and will probably have an excess, you may as well self-insure and put the money aside each month.

Thanks just know he will lose it at some point but as you say probably not worth it.
