STBXH is visiting for the first time this weekend, I'm concerned that he may try and find an opportunity to look around my computer when my back is turned. Does anyone know how I set up the computer so to login you have to type in a password?

I'm not very techy so the last thing I want to do is lock myself out of the computer.

go to start menu. (the circle with windows flag in the bottom left corner..press)

click on control panel

go to 'user accounts and family safety..click on it!

Under that heading it will say 'user account'.... add password to windows!!

simples (just write it somewhere safe!)

Of course if you havent got windows I've no idea!

Thanks, I've done it. The test will be when I log off and on again (hopefully I haven't locked myself out).

Its usually fine Smile

just make sure you remember it/write it down. I've no idea what to do if I lock myself out either Grin
