Birth to Five Book Needed!

Hi all,

I am a student midwife & I have been trying to get hold of a copy of the 'Birth to Five' book given out by the Health Visitors, however, as the NHS have now cut the funding, I cannot find one anywhere.. Does anyone have one that they would be willing to sell to me? I think it would be a good resource for my degree!

Thanks,
Amy

I don't think it would be a good resource for a degree!

It is utterly basic and slightly patronising. There are far better books on every aspect of child development, especially if you are studying to degree level.

It isn't needed to complete any theoretical work, therefore not necessary to be at degree level, i thought it would be good to have a resource targeted at mums, wasn't aware it was patronising!

You can have mine, DS is 4 next week and i don't think i have ever opened it. Do you want the purple Pregnancy book too? I am afraid i'll have to ask you for postage costs though, i'm skint on unpaid mat leave.

Hi good luck with it Amy, glad you have found one and we'd ask that you don't spam our boards.

Thanks
