I've never had one before but have a bulky old computer.

I need it for storing photo's, internet, e-mail, kids may use it for homework but nothing major as they are both under ten.

Would maybe play a few games on it but not important.

Plan to go wireless (help) no idea how yet.

Please help me know which size laptop memory etc I need. I don't have a clue!

Don't want to spend over £500 ideally under £400.

Thank you

Bump as I'm in exactly the same situation!

Ebuyer.com has some of laptops under £300. They are obviously pretty basic, but you don't sound as if you need anything more than that.

Are you available for questions? Grin

In terms of wireless, do you have a wireless home network at the moment?

CruelAndUnusualParenting · 01/09/2012 22:17

I'll try to answer any questions about the laptops, but I'm no expert on budget laptops.

If you're still looking, may these reviews might help. The Toshiba C660-1J2 looks good to me.
