I can't turn off safe search!

I'm not a luddite when it comes to all things techie but I cannot turn safe search off on my new laptop.
I've followed the instructions, nothing, did it and rebooted just in case. Nope, nothing.
Please help!

Sorry that should have been google safe search.

Isn't it at the bottom of the google page in settings? That's where mine was.

Do you know if your browser is accepting cookies (as there's a chance that's how Google would be 'storing' your choice) ?

If you don't know if your browser accepts cookies, have you tried another browser, or what browser are you using ?
