Can anyone help? I am almost crying with frustration! I am not technically minded at all and my dd (15) is, thank goodness.

However she is saying she cant put the photos from her iphone onto her laptop because her laptop is very slow and needs looking at by somebody (will probably take it to computer shop nearby).

I desperately need those photos from her phone. Normally she would put them on her laptop and then onto a disc. Is there any way we can buy a memory stick, or something, to put the photos on straight from her phone??? It sounds as though there should definately be some easy way. She says if she puts them on another laptop she loses all her music??? i am so baffled by it all and just wish I had a camera that you took the film to the shop to be developed Sad

Could you email them to yourself? DH says he can put them onto Photostream and then they appear on his laptop, but it is a Macbook... Is the laptop in question a Mac? He says you can't use a memory stick (no idea how accurate that is tho although he does work in IT!!!)

Or you can print them out from you iPhone in boots now. Or email them to yourself

tribpot · 28/08/2012 21:46

Yup, just email them. To my knowledge there's no memory card like a mini-SD inside an iPhone.

Thanks emsyj. If I do that can I easily put it on a stick from an email?

Can you really Shaky? My troubles might be over Thanks

You can save it onto the computer from the email and then put it on a memory stick I think - but just take it to Boots, sounds like they have the technology to make your problem disappear! Smile

If you touch the little arrow in the bottom left hand corner of the photo it brings up a list of options, one is email photo, if you touch that it will then attach photo to an email that you can send to yourself.

Do the emailing on wifi though or you might go over data allowance!

By the way I don't think she would lose all her music - connect phone to a computer without iTunes installed or turn auto start and auto sync off first of iTunes is installed and the computer should see the iPhone as any other external drive which you can open to see a photo folder.

Yes you can print them, I did it myself last week, make sure you take your cable tho, some of the machines had them and you just plug in your phone. It was really easy to do. You can print out iPhone photos at the car phone warehouse too.

I would instal DropBox. You upload the photos (and documents if you want) and you can access them from any device with Dropbox installed. Obviously you need to create a account (free for a basic one IIRC)

Thank you all so much Thanks we now have a few ways to try and I will manage to give my little foster child who is moving on next week an up to date photo album Smile

You're welcome

Your photo album sounds a lovely idea.

Thanks for the flowers.
