As I said its phone upgrade time.

Up until now I've just had call time and texts included but never used anywhere near my max allowance.

I now have the option of 100MB included (same price overall, less texts and mins but thats fine) so thought I'd go for it. I've never accessed the internet via phone before. My current phone is an LG touchscreen.

The phone options are :

Samsung Galaxy Mini
Samsung Galaxy Y
HTC Desire C

Any pros and cons to any of those?

Also, realistically speaking what does 100MB give you? It would be for MNing browsing I guess, no fancy business!

Thanks

I got our S2s for £40 less (each) than the offered upgrade price on T-Mobile, no haggling at all.

Jeez! Its all getting even more complicated as I've made the mistake of looking to see whats available elsewhere rather than just upgrade with Vodafone.

I'm now looking at some great family deals offered by Talktalk (as we currently have our landline phone and internet through them) - they have some £5 pm deals that would be perfect for 12yo DD. It would be cheaper than PAYG! Also Tesco have similar family deals.

Anyone have experience of Talktalk or Tesco? I've only ever dealt with Vodafone

I wouldn't touch TalkTalk personally. My dad has Tesco, they work off O2's network. It's great for what he wants however the downside is that he can't tether my mum's iPod to it at all. I use the tethering function loads on my phone to link up the iPad or laptop but it is not an option at all with Tesco.

Glittertwins -is that due to personal bad experience with talktalk? I'd be interested to know as their deal is looking the best.

Vodafone have been useless in offering a deal that I want -they told me via online live chat that if I went to one of their stores then I would be offered a wider range of deals than online. So, off I trudged to our nearest city with a Vodafone shop only to have some disinterested miserable woman tell me that I wouldn't be able to get what I wanted for what I pay now (£10pm)

She added that nobody would do that as they would lose out....er, so how come Tesco and Talktalk do it and, even offer a similar deal for as little as £5pm !?

My Nanna had TalkTalk for her landline provider and they were awful. "Customer service" was a joke too.
