filming using iPad

Just wondered what's the quality like? I like the idea of being able to film stuff without having a camera to my eye all the time - saw someone recently at a children's show and they had it on their lap, so they could watch the show properly at the same time as recording it, and it seemed less obtrusive.

And imagine it's easier to edit clips afterwards?

iMovie is the editing tool for macs. I suppose you must be able to edit it on the ipad, I have used the ipad to film and then iMovie to edit, but on my desktop computer. Is that what they are called?

There are effects and things on iMovie. Then I could send it straight to YouTube which it what I was doing it for.

Whoops, I don't know about the quality as I was just messing around with it really.
