Need to edit video help me get started!

I've got endless clips of video on iPhone also lots from video camera on my pc. I'd like to put them all together to make a short film of my children each year but I don't know where to start! Can anyone recommend the easiest software to use?

I've got my pc, but also iPad if that's any use?

I've got Cyberlink Power Director.

It's not the easiest, but it's the most fun, and the most comprehensive for the price.

mine's 9, the latest is 10, but it looks like they've got a reduced version...

I use Windows Movie Maker. It is very easy to use.

iMovie is available for iPad and iPhone.
