apple iphone 4s v samsung galaxy 3

hi,
ive been offered an upgrade on my work phone, i cna only choose between the iphone 4 s or the galaxy s3. There is no option to wait for the 5 like i wanted to.
Im used to apple and the iphone plus have ipad as well, but tbh i find it quite dull and not sure that a huge amount of changes will be happening with the 5.

Is the galaxy as easy to use for browsing the internet, reading emails and facebook, texting as the iphone? also what is the diary/organiser like and how does it cope with music.

If the galaxy is far superior then i would probably buy an ipod to put my music on and use for running anyway.

I adore my Galaxy S3. It is amazing. I can't honestly compare it to the Iphone because I've never had one but it is very easy to use, very fast, and does all those things you ask about very well. There's a wide choice of apps in the store so if you don't like the stock ones for diary/music/browser just download another. I'm using the stock diary app and it's fine, synchs with Google calendar so you'd need a Google account. Haven't really used it for music but there are some very good music apps for it (DP uses his Android phone for music at work).

The screen is much, much larger than on the Iphone and so is the phone as a whole. It's not heavy because it's thin, just huge. Very comfortable for reading/browsing. Go play with a demo one in store and see if you like it, taking into account you might need a bit of time getting used to Android if you're coming from the Iphone.

My ds has the iPhone and there is just no comparison.

IPhone is very dull in comparison.

I don't think I have used my laptop since I got this phone. I just use this instead.

As an Apple fan who has owned every iPhone since they came out, an ipad, ipod touch and an imac I have to say...... the S3.

Absolutely no question, the S3 wins in every category. The only rival it has is the HTC One X, which is better in my opinion purely due to HTCs Sense UI being a bit more polished than Samsumg's, but as that's not an option, it has to be an S3. You should try walking into a phone shop these days, have a look at the Android handsets on display and then check out the iPhone stand, you'll find a small, very bland looking, uninspiring phone on the stand. Try it, you'll find it difficult to understand what the fuss is about!
