Help! I've bitten off more than I can chew workwise and have promised a client I can turn a word doc (with a couple of pics plus header and footer images) into a professional looking pdf brochure that can be emailed to customers...I did it using the 'create pdf' on my open office, but it looks shit. Any suggestions wise geeks?

If using word 2007, you can save the file as a pdf - just change it to pdf in the word dropdown box for Save as. You could also try pdf merge which is free online, google it

Save As
Save as type - select PDF frm drop down box

There are other free apps you can download and install to do this - primo pdf, pdf creator etc. Or an online pdf convertor eg www.pdfonline.com/convert-pdf/

Hulababy and zippey have covered it Grin

Thank you! I did the save as PDF thing but it doesn't look professional enough, I'll have a look at the software ideas here Grin

Try this, googie:

press print from the file menu, then look at the bottom left corner of the dialogue box that comes up. Is there a button called 'PDF'? If so, click on that and choose 'Save as PDF' (which on mine is the first option).

Hope it works and gives the quality you are after.

Don't worry, it won't actually print anything.

Your final document will only look as professional as the original document. Whats your original document like?
