Updated iPhone, contacts and calendar gone-help!

I innocently accepted the apple offer to update my iPhone software. It has removed all my contacts AND all my calendar dates. Aaargh!

Help??

Try connecting to iTunes and resyncing your phone. It's a real pain when this happens

Tried that. No joy
