Does anyone understand this piece of software?

I've copy and pasted a map onto a word doc and instead of the names of the counties, I'm wanting to put a number (class task). I've tried to do this with the sniping tool but getting nowhere fast.

Help!

Not much help really, but assume you want the Snipping tool? Grin

Sniping is for ebay!

Snipping Tool is used to make small screenshots of a specific part of your screen.

For example, if you want to copy and paste just a small part of an image you find online, it can be quicker to use the snipping tool than to copy the full image and crop it.

You basically drag a square around the area you want to copy.

I don't think it's too useful for what you are wanting to do. For your task, you could just use MS Paint or any other image editing software like GIMP to replace the text with numbers.

Or you could put a number in a text box, which you format to have no fill and no line and drag it to the right place on the map. Then copy it, drag the copy to the next place and change the number

Just read your OP again and realise you want to get rid of the names too - in which casmanfully the text box with a colour, or have it white and make it big enough to cover the name.
