iPhone 4s case

Hi. I am the proud owner of an iPhone 4s as of today and want to get a case for it.

I was thinking of getting one of the hard clip on cases from amazon but just want to know if they just make the phone look nice or do they actually offer some protection too?

As a serial dropper of iPhones I need something more sturdy. Those back clip on hardcover things do not protect the phone from the likes of me.

I need side and corner shock absorbers. Mine says Speck on the back, it's plain black, quite chunky and came from the iPhone store. Since having it I've probably dropped my phone 6 times and it's been fine. Prior to that I broke 3 iPhone 3GS screens and 1 iPhone 4 screen (front and back).

I have this one. I love it to bits. And this post will probably out me more than any other I've ever posted as everyone comments on my phone case :o

Will have a look at one of those I would be gutted if I broke it. Or I my 4yo did. Thanks for your reply :)

From the lady who brought you the EB toaster, take a look at this hmm if I had the money for the case I'd be happy, never mind the i-phone Smile

I have a plain black leather one from carphone warehouse. It's spectacularly unexciting but the front and back are covered and it's nice to hold. I am a clumsy clot, and fear breakage a lot!

I don't think that link worked...but anyway...the front folds down so you can use the phone easily.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 21/07/2012 23:02

It doesn't offer any protection for the front. But, I'm on my 5th iPhone (through upgrading, not misfortune!) and have tried every case on the planet, or it feels like that. I've dropped a phone and smashed the screen just once and it was when it was in the bulkiest, rubberiest, bounciest case I ever owned. If the screen hits a kerb or something pointy, it'll break. So I freed myself from black rubber :o

I looked at the these and lusted muchly, but I can't help but feel the back only ones are not substantial enough for a klutz like me. Pretty pretty though....LOADS to choose from!

GwendolineMaryLacey · 21/07/2012 23:06

Ooh I really like this one

hugandroll · 21/07/2012 23:18

There are some lovely ones on that site. I am going to register my phone under my insurance on Monday so at least it it does break I can get another one but would rather it didn't obviously.

I covet these wooden ones. One day I'll convince myself I NEED one www.miniot.com/webshop/?portlet=miniot&page=miniotpouch&state=normal
