Geek alert! I need your help finding/identifying something...

I've seen a lovely font (oh yes, I said font, I really am this dull) on a website where the letters are made out of photos HERE how would I make such a beautiful thing? If it was doable on a iPad that would be even better but I can crank up the laptop if needed. Thanks.

Yes that's lovely. Racking my brains for an iPad one but not sure there is.
I'm sure I used to be ale to fill fonts like that on Ulead Photo Impact, and google says Photoshop will too, although I haven't checked out the tutorials.

Yes, I had seen photoshop references but photoshop and I don't get on - my dad swears by it but I just can't get to grips with it
